What is Wegora?
Wegora is a collaborative writing platform with an integrated semantic analytics engine. Users publish posts on Wegora which can be remixed by the community. All posts, and remixes compete for the attention of users. Wegora is not a wiki. Instead of linear versioning, Wegora allows for the unrestricted proliferation of ideas. This allows ideas to build and spread virally, turning one good idea into many great ideas. Our semantic analytics engine allows our commercial users to get a better understanding of what users are trying to communicate to them.
What is a Commercial User?
Wegora is open to all users. Those users who wish to participate in writing, remixing, or commenting on posts must create an account. Wegora offers two types of accounts, free accounts, and paid commercial accounts. Commercial accounts include access to premium features that aid commercial users in creating engagement campaigns on Wegora. For more information on engagement campaigns, please see What Wegora can do for you.
What is Semantic Analytics?
Semantic Analytics use advanced natural language processing, such as sentiment analysis, in combination with demographic data and user analytics to create data that specifically addresses who users are, what they are trying to communicate, why they feel the way they do, and how effectively they communicate their message. The social web has always been great for speaking to ten million people at once. But, speaking without listening is not engagement. We use Semantic Analytics to allow our commercial users to listen to ten million people at once.
How does Wegora work?
Everything posted on Wegora can be remixed. These remixes compete against the original and other posts for users’ attention. Interesting and useful posts and remixes will continue to be read and remixed. If they are rated favorably by users, they will stay atop the pile. Less interesting/useful posts will find themselves moving farther from discussion unless, they are read and remixed into something more interesting.
How does Wegora determine authorship or ownership of a post?
Every user maintains ownership of the content they contribute.[1] By posting the content to the Wegora community they are inviting other users to remix it and join them in ownership of the product of that remix.
Remixes that are the product of one or more authors become the shared property of those authors. No post may be reproduced outside of the Wegora community without giving credit to all contributing authors. Failure to do so is a violation of Wegora's Terms of Service, and may constitute a copyright infringement subject to penalty under State and/or Federal copyright laws. (For more information see the Terms of Service.)
We know what you're thinking. Discerning exactly where a popular and avidly-remixed post originated from can be difficult. Luckily, Wegora takes care of that for you. We track each remix and display its previous contributors-- right down to the original author. Further, Wegora keeps track of what each author contributes to a post so that we may give credit to those authors who make the greatest contributions.
What if I want to publish something posted on Wegora?
At Wegora we actively encourage users to pursue publishing opportunities. If you wish to publish something written solely by yourself, you are welcome to do so. If you wish to publish something written by one or more contributing authors, Wegora will happily put you in contact with the author(s)/contributor(s). Just shoot an email to info@Wegora.com.
